WILsquare Capital, a St. Louis-based private equity firm, is pleased to announce the promotions of John Curry to Director and Matthew Padgett to Associate.
John joined WILsquare as Vice President in 2019 after graduating with an M.B.A from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. John's meaningful investment banking experience with Robert W. Baird & Co. provided a strong foundation in M&A and financing transactions across multiple industries. He has applied these experiences to new deal activity and to WILsquare’s existing portfolio. In addition, John works closely with the firm’s partners to lead its DEI initiatives. As a Director, he will continue to evaluate investment opportunities, execute due diligence, and work with portfolio company management teams to drive strategic initiatives. In the community, John serves on the Junior Board of the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis.
Matthew joined WILsquare in 2020 as an Analyst upon graduation from Washington University in St. Louis, majoring in Finance and Economics with a minor in Computer Science. He was first introduced to WILsquare in 2019 through the Firm’s summer internship program. Since joining WILsquare, Matthew has worked with the team in evaluating and closing several acquisitions as well as assisting portfolio company management teams in their transition to new ownership. As an Associate, Matthew will continue performing financial analysis and modeling, due diligence on acquisition opportunities, and supporting operating companies in evaluating and executing on growth initiatives.
