4th Annual College Football Challenge for Charity Winners


Thank you to all who participated in the 4th Annual WILsquare Capital College Football Challenge for Charity. We are pleased to announce this year’s winners and highlight their respective charities.


1st Place $5,000 - Matt Gieseking (Forsyth Advisors)

Matt selected the St. Louis Chapter of The Asthma and Allergy Foundation based in St. Louis, MO

“The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, St. Louis Chapter (AAFA-STL), a United Way Agency, has been a leading resource for those with asthma and allergies in the St. Louis community for almost 40 years. AAFA-STL’s medical assistance program, BREATH (formerly Project Concern), provides uninsured and underinsured children with life-saving asthma and allergy medications, equipment, education, and support. Our educational programs and advocacy also reach families, schools, and nurses all over the Greater St. Louis area."

2nd Place $2,000 - Dale Harber (Andra Partners)

Dale selected two charities to split his winnings: Butterfly Haven, Inc. based in St. Louis, MO, and The Carying Place based in Cary, NC.

“Butterfly Haven serves children impacted by Foster Care and families who have experienced a crisis situation. We currently serve families within the St. Louis metropolitan area, St. Charles County, Lincoln County, Franklin County, and Jefferson County!”

"The Carying Place teaches homeless, working families with children, life skills for attaining independent living while providing short-term housing and support services to address their individual needs."

3rd Place $1,500 - Dave DeCraene (First Merchants Bank)

Dave selected Grace Care Center and Food Pantry based in Noblesville, IN.

“The Grace Care Center opened with the specific purpose of amplifying efforts to provide care and compassion to the local community through the Choice Food Pantry and referral services. Since then, the Care Center has grown to serve more than 600 families (2100 individuals) each week through the combined effort of four service areas: The Choice Food Pantry, Referral Services, Vehicle Services and ESL Services.”

4th Place $1,000 - Nickolas Shad (KPMG)

Nikolas Shad selected Immigrant Legal Center based in Omaha, NE.

“We are a nonprofit law firm that specializes in immigration law and the legal barriers that intersect with our clients’ immigration remedies. Our legal team provides the expertise and experience to understand and access the legal remedies that are available to each client, regardless of the complexity of the case.”

5th Place $500 - William O’Flaherty (Matrix Capital Markets Group)

William selected Kyle Profilet CFA, CPA Memorial Scholarship based in Farmville, VA.

“The purpose of this scholarship is to honor and remember Kyle Profilet ’13, an active member of campus in his time at Longwood through Greek life, the CBE Student Advisory Board, Accounting Association and co-Chair of the Student Investment Fund who continued his citizen leadership and professional success after graduation through a career in investment banking and earning highly regarded professional credentials including the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designations. The recipients of the award(s) shall be a full-time University student seeking an undergraduate degree from Longwood University.”
